How Photoluminescence Works
Photoluminescence absorbs natural or artificial light, stores it, and automatically releases it as a visible glow in darkness. This helps road users, cyclists, pedestrians, and workers safely navigate low-light environments without the need for electricity or emergency power. Lines recharge continuously from daylight, artificial lighting, or even vehicle headlights.
Two options are available:
WhiteLite™
Appears closer to standard white linemarking during daylight hours. Offers a softer night-time glow.
PureLite™
Has a brighter night-time glow and a slightly more off-white appearance in daylight. Best suited for very dark environments where glow performance is critical.

Does PL linemarking replace electric lighting?

How quickly can PL linemarking be installed?
Most projects can be completed in a few hours or a day. Drying times vary depending on the paint system and weather but are usually fast and traffic-ready within hours.
How is it installed?
It is cold-applied or combined with approved road marking systems. Our team installs it without hot works, making it quick, safe, and cost-effective.
How long does the photoluminescent effect last at night?
The glow duration depends on light exposure during the day. Typically up to 8–10 hours after sufficient charging.
Does it need sunlight to work, or will artificial lighting charge it?
It charges from both natural sunlight and artificial lighting (like indoor lights or vehicle headlights). It can be used effectively indoors and outdoors.
How long does it last before needing reapplication?
The longevity depends on surface wear, UV exposure, and traffic levels. In most applications, it lasts several years and can be refreshed as needed.
Is it slippery when wet?
No. Our photoluminescent linemarkings are formulated to maintain slip resistance in wet conditions.
